No Dylan Ferrandis in Team France for MXON Assen!
At Red Bud this past weekend, Dylan Ferrandis won his first overall of the AMA 250 Outdoor season. The Frenchman did this with a double series victory and thus puts himself back in contention for the AMA 250 Outdoor title. After the race, the reigning AMA 250 West Supercross Champion was asked a few questions regarding the “Motocross des Nations”.
The French Yamaha pilot responded by saying that he will not participate in the event this year. The fact that the race is held in Assen, a course that he knows and considers to be a brutal and difficult sand course, has made him decide not to make him available for the French team.
During the press conference (see video below from 13:40 PM), the Frenchman tells his colleagues Adam Cianciarulo and Justin Cooper that they will not know what will happen to them there. They will see boys rushing by in the deep sand that they have never heard of before, the Frenchman warns them in advance. In addition, Dylan Ferrandis once again points out the sore point of the late date of the renowned Nations Cup, which means that AMA pilots have to continue training for a very long time in order to appear competitive at the starting gate. This while their other colleagues can take a rest and then start supercross tests. Something that the two-time MXON champion is now opting for after his long season.
