Brian Bogers talks about his GP in Palembang
This year Brian Bogers is in his first real season in the FIM MXGP World Championship. The Brabander saw 2018 completely ruined by an ankle fracture that later played tricks on him again. The 22-year-old rider is in his second season with Team HRC as a teammate of Tim Gajser. Last weekend went well for Bogers, he looks back on the Palembang match.
“The day didn't really go the way I wanted, especially the first heat was tough. The first five or six laps felt good and I was riding with the fast guys. Then the heat hit and I couldn't push anymore. I felt pretty bad about that, so I wanted to make up for it in the second moto. I got off to a really good start in the second moto and from the start I pushed even harder than the first moto. I didn't want to spare myself because that wasn't a good mindset and it seemed to work! Even when I got a little tired from the heat, I was able to keep pushing. I finished twelfth and eighth in the overall standings. That's not bad, but I still want to do better.” said the Eindhoven resident.
