Van de Moosdijk won, Dankers and Elzinga very strong!
Without many problems, Roan van de Moosdijk won the first heat during the fifth race of the European 250cc Championship. The Kawasaki rider (photo) managed to take the lead in the third corner and never relinquished it. Despite an exciting moment, the 18-year-old rider managed to take the victory with a 13-second lead. Jeremy Sydow was the best starter, but he saw Van de Moosdijk pass quickly. The German finished second ahead of Alberto Forato. The Italian managed to pass Raivo Dankers in the last lap. The Yamaha rider made a wrong shift, losing third place and thus ending up fourth. Stephen Rubini, the leader in the standings, crossed the finish line in fifth. Rick Elzinga had a strong performance, he finished ninth! Unfortunately no points for Raf Meuwissen, after a strong training the Limburger finished 25th.
