Rubini takes the victory in the final phase!
In a beautiful battle, Stephen Rubini won the first round of the German Grand Prix. The Frenchman managed to win the first round of the EMX250 ahead of Roan van de Moosdijk and Alberto Forato! Raivo Dankers crosses the finish line in Teutschenthal in eleventh place, Rick Elzinga scores points with a thirteenth place. Unfortunately, the only Belgian, Jarni Kooij, does not finish during this heat.
The best start goes to Yann Crnjanski, but he quickly sees the key players in the championship passing by. Van de Moosdijk takes the lead ahead of Rubini and Forato. While the Frenchman and the Italian battle for second place, Van de Moosdijk manages to distance himself. The lead increases to almost four seconds, but then the Honda rider comes back. After fifteen minutes the F&H Racing driver comes under pressure from both pursuers. Forato makes a mistake that causes him to fall and have to settle for third place. Rubini again has to allow Van de Moosdijk to break free, but when the stragglers come into view, that lead quickly disappears. When the leader chooses the wrong track, Rubini attacks immediately! With success because with two laps to go Rubini takes the lead and he does not relinquish it. Van de Moosdijk therefore comes second ahead of Forato. Fourth place goes to Jeremy Sydow to the delight of the crowd! The top five is completed by EMX125 champion Thibault Benistant!
