Osterhagen very close to first EMX125 points!
On the very difficult circuit of Teutschenthal it seemed to happen for Hakon Osterhagen. The 15-year-old rider seemed to immediately score points in the European 125cc Championship in his debut season on the SX125. Unfortunately the party did not go ahead, falls threw a spanner in the works for the rider from Slattum, Norway. Hakon rode in the points in both heats during the warm German GP, but crashes caused a major disappointment. The victory went to Tom Guyon, the Italian Mattia Guardagnini remains the leader in the standings.
EMX125:
It soon became clear that Hakon had not been sitting still over the past month. The Norwegian took to the circuit with confidence and made an immediate impression. He failed to qualify in the previous competitions, but now he clocked sixth fastest time in his group! The KTM rider was eagerly behind the starting gate at MSC Teutschenthal and he starts well in the race over 25 minutes and two laps. However, a colleague gets into trouble and falls right in front of Hakon. Unfortunately, it is not possible to avoid the fallen rider, resulting in a crash. From 39th place, the FXR-clad motocross rider managed to get back into the top twenty in just nine laps. The first points seem within reach, but in the final phase there is a fierce battle for 20th place, which entitles you to a point. Things get intense and Hakon falls in his drive. As a result, he loses the chance of his first points and he crosses the finish line very disappointed in 32nd.
Fortunately, the start of the second round goes well for Hakon, who immediately comes out of the first corner in the top ten. In the first lap he worked his way up to eighth place, but then a series of mistakes followed, causing Hakon to drop back to tenth place. He quickly recovers from this and even climbs to seventh place behind Everts. After 25 minutes of the match, Hakon loses a place to the equally fallen De Wolf, but a little later Hakon himself falls. On the track full of ruts, it takes the KTM rider a lot of time to get the bike back in the right direction. This puts him outside the points and he crosses the finish line again in 32nd place.
EMX250:
After the serious crash in Rhenen, Kevin Horgmo is currently working hard on his recovery. The blonde rider hopes to resume motorcycle training next week. In recent weeks, Kevin has managed to maintain his fitness well. All arrows are focused on the next competition of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross in Lichtenvoorde.
Next game:
While the FIM MXGP-MX2 World Championship travels to Indonesia, the EMX riders will enjoy a short holiday. The final of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross will be held in Lichtenvoorde on July 19-20-21. CreyMert Racing hopes to be able to compete again at full strength during the Zwarte Cross. The EMX125 and EMX250 will continue on August 3-4 during the Belgian GP at the Lommel circuit.
