New headquarters for Scott Sports
Scott is a name that rings true in sports. With an offering in four cool sports (Cycling, Moto, Running & Winter), you have probably already heard of Scott or used their products. After 3 years of construction, Scott moved into their state-of-the-art new headquarters in Givisierz, Switzerland, in April!
Previously, the employees of the Scott Sports Group were spread across 5 different locations. Now everyone is not only in the same place, the other (bicycle) brands within the group: Bergamont, Bold Cycles, Syncros, Avanti and Malvern Star and outdoor brands Dolomite, Powderhorn, Bach, Lizard and Outdoor Research are also under the same roof.
A total of 330 people work in this “Action Sports temple”. The fact that there is capacity for 600 people, spread over 7 floors and 50 meeting rooms, says a lot about Scott's ambitions. At least as important, however, is the vision behind this new building, which is completely in line with Scott's innovative vision, focused on technology and design. By using the latest technologies (sustainable energy, geothermal power, solar energy) and a mix of sophisticated materials (wood, concrete, glass and metal), the headquarters is completely ready for the future.
For the construction, Scott collaborated with reputed companies such as Kvadrat DK and Price Industries. One of the showpieces of this project is without a doubt the control system - a European premiere - that simultaneously controls heating, ventilation and acoustics. In addition to a place to work, the building also offers an integrated solution for the lifestyle of Scott employees thanks to bicycle workshops, fitness rooms, a canteen and changing rooms. The Scott group employs more than 1500 people worldwide and is active in more than 100 countries.
