Jeremy Knuiman wins again at the MON youth
During the Prox MON youth motocross in St. Anthonis, Jeremy Knuiman (photo) again won the MX2 youth. The Wijchen native managed to win both heats after a battle with Jelle Bankers, who took second place on the podium. Third place went somewhat surprisingly to Teun den Mulder with a fourth and third place in the heats. Sem Beijer had to be satisfied with fourth place this time. He thus kept Bailey van Aken behind him.
First heat
Beijer came out of the first corner first, followed by Knuiman, Bankers, den Mulder and Van Aken. In the first lap Knuiman took over the lead from Beijer. Knuiman quickly took a small lead over the duo Beijer and Bankers, who in turn took a lead over den Mulder and van Aken. In the third round, Bankers passed Beijer and started the hunt for Knuiman. While the battle for most positions was quickly over, the battle between Knuiman and Bankers lasted until the finish. Bankers overtook Knuiman but was unable to get past him. The heat victory went to Knuiman for Bankers. Den Mulder came close to Beijer, well behind. It was Beijer who managed to maintain his position and finished third. Fifth place went to van Aken.
Second heat
It was Knuiman who now had the holeshot ahead of Bankers, den Mulder, Beijer and van Aken. Knuiman and Bankers again quickly had a lead over den Mulder and Beijer, who in turn quickly had a gap with Van Aken. Bankers once again managed to stay in Knuiman's wake for a long time and the positions were maintained for a long time. However, in the last part of the heat it was Van Aken who suddenly came fourth. Knuiman again had the longest time compared to Bankers who fell behind in the last part of the heat. Knuiman again won the heat ahead of Bankers. Den Mulder followed at more than 1.10 in third place, followed by Van Aken. Fifth place now belonged to Beijer.
