Erzberg Rodeo: Changing of the guard?
No to little changes compared to the first day yesterday during the second prologue day. Especially when it comes to the toppers. Josep García was the big winner with a whopping 9 second lead over Nathan Watson. The key question is whether Garcia or his KTM teammate Manuel Lettenbichler can beat the 'old guard' led by grandmaster Graham Jarvis!
The prologue circuit was tougher and also wetter in the morning due to rain from Friday to Saturday night. Only one new intruder entered the top 50 and this at the expense of… yes, Andy Truyts. Truyts thus lost his place on the front row, by just seven hundredths of a second! Steven Stuyven reached the 126rd row with his 3th place. The rest of the lowlanders may start from the fourth row or further.
This morning it was rumored here that Laia Sanz could start in the front row after all, real gentlemen here 🙂 Apparently it was planned that the top 3 of the ladies category would be allowed in the front row. Nina Klink therefore just misses out with her 4th place.
Garcia won the previous WESS round, the Trèfle Lozerien in France. With another win he would certainly put himself in pole position for the WESS overall victory.
Result ladies:
1: Laia Sanz
2: Sandra Gomez
3: Nina Buchholz
4: Nina Klink
