De Wolf close to victory, Everts comes fifth!
A lot happened during the fifth race of the European 125cc Championship. On the Teutschenthal circuit, Kay de Wolf (photo) managed to take the lead for almost 20 minutes in the second heat. However, the Husqvarna rider crashed and finished 'only' sixth. That is one place behind Liam Everts who drives a very good race and therefore crosses the finish line in fifth place. The victory goes to Tom Guyon who manages to surprise Simon Laengenfelder in the last lap. In addition to Everts and De Wolf, Kay Karssemakers (10th) and Dave Kooiker (12th) also managed to score. Lucas Adam (26th) and Marnick Lagrou (29th) do not score, but they do reach the finish. Not a good day for Mattia Guadagnini, he doesn't get further than thirteenth place and sees Guyon make up a lot of points in the title battle!
The EMX125 will not resume until August 3-4, during the Belgian Grand Prix at the Lommel circuit!
