Coldenhoff gives his best in the Russian GP
Glenn Coldenhoff gave his best in the eighth round of the MXGP World Championship in Orlyonok, Russia. The Brabander even managed to take the lead in the second heat! “I had quite a bit of trouble with the job. I have to say that I have this every year at this circuit and it is certainly not one of my favorites. The speed here is extremely high and it seemed to be even higher this year than in previous years. I do know that I am often better on Sundays, which made me look forward to the race positively," says the Standing Construct driver.
In the first heat 'The Hoff' got a reasonable start. He did lose a few positions in the initial phase, but at one point he joined a group up to the fourth man. It was a bit of a ride but Glenn finished a strong race and finished eighth. In the second moto Glenn managed to take the holeshot and led the field through the first corner. “That was a nice feeling. I was in the lead for quite a long time. I gave it my all in this heat and managed to ride well ahead of Gajser and Tonus. I also battled Seewer later in the moto to try to regain third place. However, I started making mistakes and because I had already given a lot in the beginning I started to get tired. I really found myself in the second moto. I had not been in the lead for a long time and I am no longer used to this speed. I finished tenth, which is not good, but we will take the positive into our preparation for the next Grand Prix."
