Tim Gajser has just won the qualifying series in Teutschenthal, Germany, with two fingers up his nose. The HRC HSF Honda pilot said afterwards that he really enjoyed the race on the extremely technical course on the bone-hard surface that is littered with treacherous ruts. Anyone who wants to win the German Grand Prix tomorrow will have to go past the leader in the world championship!
Behind the Slovenian two-time world champion, those present had a nice fight between many dogs. All Yamaha pilots had started well, but Romain Febvre soon had a crash and Arnaud Tonus also had a crash. This put Jeremy Seewer in second position, a position he would not relinquish. Gautier Paulin was in third position for a long time, but a well-riding Glenn Coldenhoff passed the Frenchman with five laps to go, who had no answer to the Standing Construct KTM pilot. With this, the Dutchman immediately scores his best qualifying result of the 2019 season, a big boost after the serious neck injury that prevented him from performing at his level for a long time.
In fourth place we found Gautier Paulin who narrowly managed to stay ahead of Romain Febvre and Julien Lieber. Qualifying in Germany also went more than decently for the other lowlanders. We found Jeremy Van Horebeek in tenth place and Brian Bogers in twelfth place. Kevin Strijbos managed to finish fifteenth with his Yamaha. Micha-Boy de Waal finished twenty-first, which put him a few places ahead of wildcard pilot Jeremy Delincé, competing for his German KMP Honda team, as he finished twenty-fourth. Sven Van der Mierden finished a few seconds behind in twenty-fifth place. Jeffrey Dewulf finished the race in thirty-first place.
Who also made an appearance in a Grand Prix in Teutschenthal was Valentin Guillod. The Swiss drives in the ADAC championship for the same team as Jeremy Delincé. As a result, he also started as a wildcard pilot for the KMP Honda team, finishing seventeenth on the modest team's bike. Also part of the party; Pascal Rauchenecker the Austrian finished twentieth.
