Van de Moosdijk takes a heat victory!
The third Grand Prix weekend in a row went well for the F&H Racing Team. Roan van de Moosdijk caused a lot of joy at the Saint Jean d'Angely circuit. The KX250F rider managed to take a moto victory just north of Bordeaux. Adam Sterry also managed to show himself well from the front, the Briton recorded his best performance of the season by crossing the finish line in sixth place in both heats. Henry Jacobi's race went less well, he finished eleventh. The victory went to Jorge Prado who further extended his lead in the title fight.
1st Round
In the first round of the atmospheric weekend in France, Adam gets off to a good start. The 22-year-old Briton starts third and sees Geerts pass on the first lap. Henry's start was slightly worse, but he immediately settled into the top ten. After almost 15 minutes of racing, the Kawasaki riders come together while trying to connect with fourth man Cervellin. For a moment Henry takes over fifth place, but then things go wrong and the German falls. Adam sees Vialle pass on the same lap and ten minutes later Pootjes also follows. In the final phase it becomes even more exciting because Cervellin drops back and Adam manages to strike in the last! With sixth place, the Brit managed to achieve his best performance of this season! Henry crosses the finish line in eighth place and he is clearly not satisfied with that.
2st Round
Adam's Motul-lubricated Kawasaki sprints straight to the first corner but it is Prado who wins the “Holeshot Award” for Adam. In the first lap the rider from Walsh is passed by Watson and not much later Geerts and Evans follow. For the next 20 minutes, Adam manages to hold on to fifth place, but then Kjer Olsen comes along and the Dane has a better final sprint. Adam also crosses the finish line in sixth place in this round, equaling the strong performance of the first round earlier in the day. Not the best race from Henry, who finished seventh in the first full round. After taking over sixth place, he tries to catch up with his teammate and after a few laps he passes Adam. Unfortunately, the 22-year-old German crashed shortly afterwards, causing him to lose a lot of time and places. With a 17th place, Henry does score points, but that is only four. In the title battle, Henry loses third place in the standings to Geerts.
EMX250
After his strong performance during the Portuguese Grand Prix, Roan naturally also wanted to show great things during the third race of the European 250cc Championship. In the first heat, the 18-year-old rider immediately joined the leading group and in the second round he entered the top five. The British Gilbert is not easy to pass, so Fernandez finds the connection and immediately goes on the attack. The duel battles for fifth place but they touch each other and go down! Roan drops back to nineteenth place. Fortunately, the Kawasaki rider still manages to improve and crosses the finish line in twelfth place.
The second heat starts better for Roan who comes out of the first corner in second place. The Italian Lapucci is in charge and he will not let himself be pushed out of the lead. The Leatt-clad rider tries left and right, but Lupucci is not easy to pass. When the race management shows the sign with two more laps, this is a sign for Roan. He goes on the attack with the aim of taking over the lead. With success because the Kawasaki rider battles past Lapucci and manages to hold the lead until the checkered flag. Last year Roan was on the podium at this circuit, now he achieved a moto victory!
