Sacha Coenen wins the German EMX85!
The fourth race of the European 85cc North-West Championship was held in Reutlingen. Thanks to Sacha Coenen, the Brabançonne was played because the Yamaha rider managed to take the day's victory with a fourth and first place. The Czech Julius Mikula (1-4) came second ahead of Charlie Heyman (2-3) and Lucas Coenen (5-2)! The best Dutchman was Mirco ten Kate, he finished twelfth in the daily rankings ahead of Cas Valk.
The rider from Nijverdal was the fastest man on the South German circuit, but he experienced setbacks. In the first moto he had to brake for a fallen colleague and later in the afternoon the gearbox broke down. Sacha Coenen takes over the lead in the standings from the absent Ivano van Erp. Uwe de Waele managed to get into the points in both heats and the same goes for Damien Knuiman. Baptiste Beernaerts scores in the second round thanks to a neat sixteenth place. The final will be held in three weeks on the new Arnhem circuit. The top ten of this 'championship' qualify for the EMX final on the Loket circuit.
