Rico Lommers breaks his radius bone in Heerde
Last Sunday, Rico Lommers was injured during the KNMV ONK race at the Heerde circuit. KTM rider Rico had managed to set a twenty-first time in time training in the 250 class, he got a good start in the first moto and then rode a number of laps in ninth place. Unfortunately, he then crashed into a bumpy driveway, which meant it took a long time before he could continue his way. After the crash, his riding was no longer smooth and he was unable to achieve more than seventeenth place.
In the second heat Lommers had to deal with even more setbacks! He got a good start but decided to go all the way around the outside in the second corner. He got stuck and the Lakerveld rider fell. While his hand was still on the handlebars, a rider bumped into his elbow. He broke his radius bone, which meant he had to leave the match with a face contorted in pain!
