Product spotlight: Michelin Tracker
The Michelin Tracker is directly inspired by the motorcycle tires used at the highest level of competitive sport. It is made for a growing group of motorcyclists; namely the off-road enthusiasts who are looking for a reliable tire to get maximum benefit when they go driving.
The Michelin Tracker meets the needs of both amateur athletes and pleasure riders. After all, they all want the same thing: a tire that is suitable for all kinds of different types of terrain. With its new tread and remarkable grip, as well as its good resistance to punctures, this tire prefers sand, mud and soil.
But the Michelin Tracker is also approved for use on public roads and is ideal for Enduro and Trail bikes such as the Yamaha WR-F 450 or the Suzuki DR-Z 400. Due to its durability, performance, versatility and affordable price, it will definitely be a appeal to a large group of motorcyclists who love off-road.
To meet the needs of the most demanding off-road riders, many technologies have been incorporated into this new tire. A lot of attention has been paid to the profile: with the reinforced tread it offers resistance to aggressive off-road driving conditions. The tread blocks, with their innovative design, provide traction and braking power in the most difficult conditions.
Bulges between the lugs form “bridges” to provide more protection and increase resistance to shock. The construction, with a double carcass layer, allowed the weight of the tire to be reduced while improving comfort and steering precision.
Finally, the Michelin Tracker can be combined with Michelin Bib Mousse in four sizes (M15, M18, M22 and M199). This provides extra protection against punctures when going off-road.
