Only six points for Kevin Horgmo!
The CreyMert Racing Team returns from Saint Jean d'Angely with far fewer points than expected. The Belgian team managed to score only six points with Kevin Horgmo during the third race of the European 250cc Championship. The French EMX GP was won by Stephan Rubini, Alberto Forato remains the leader in the standings. Hakon Osterhagen tried to do everything he could, but he was unable to qualify for the fourth race of the European 125cc Championship. Tom Guyon won both heats, Mattia Guardagnini remains the holder of the 'Redplate'.
EMX250:
On Saturday, Kevin managed to qualify as the fastest in his group for the 25-minute and two-lap races. Expectations are high, but the first heat does not start well. The Norwegian starts just outside the points and then quickly climbs to eighteenth place. However, then things go wrong and the KTM rider falls. The race can be continued from 37th place, but unfortunately there are no points. The FXR-clad motocross rider comes back strong with a 22nd place, but his efforts are not rewarded.
Not much bodes well in the second moto because Kevin doesn't get off to a good start and after some pushing and pulling he is sent to the backfield. The 'Viking' does not give up easily and now he is coming back very strong. From 36th place at the end of the first full lap, the Airoh-supported rider battled his way back to 15th place! This allows him to add six points to his total, but this does not satisfy either the driver or the team.
EMX125:
For his first EMX125 season, Hakon knew that it would be tough but above all educational. Two weeks ago in Mantova, the student managed to qualify, but unfortunately that did not work out. He works very hard to improve his times, but unfortunately that was not enough to compete in both races.
Next game:
The Belgian team will quickly travel back to their home base to take action next Thursday during the third race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross in Rhenen. The EMX125 continues on June 22-23 in Teutschenthal, the fourth EMX250 competition is on June 8-9 in Russia!
