Eric Leijtens expected more from Mantova
Last weekend the European 2 Stroke Championship was hosted in Mantova. Eric Leijtens also came into action during this second match of the season. The KTM rider had a tough week as the Brabander remained scoreless due to brutal bad luck.
The first heat started well for the EL4 Racing rider who got off to a good start. However, things went wrong in the first corner when six riders crashed. In addition to Eric, the leader in the standings is also Brad Anderson! The Brit was able to continue, but Eric's motorcycle was seriously damaged, ending his race early.
The weather conditions in the second round are particularly wet, but fortunately the race starts better. The No Fear Energy supported rider was in the top ten until he made a slide. Everything is full of mud and it takes a while before the race can be continued. It soon turns out that the glasses have some damage. A pit stop is needed after which Eric disappears from the race.
Next weekend it will be EMX 2 Stroke in Portugal, but Eric will be in action during the KNMV ONK in Harfsen.
