Dean Gregoire scores well in Reutlingen!
Dean Gregoire managed to score well at the Reutlingen circuit during the fourth race of the European Championship 65cc North-West. The student finished sixth in the daily rankings and thus achieved his best finish in this 'championship' on the way to the EMX final in Loket. The victory during this German race went to Vitezslav Marek who won both heats. The Team Youth Pro MX rider occupies eighth place in the standings with one race left to ride!
EMX65:
In the EMX65, Europe is divided into four zones for riders who compete in their own region to qualify for the grand final. The best ten drivers per zone will compete against each other during the Czech Grand Prix at the end of July. The major GP teams will be present at the Loket circuit and there they will be awarded the title and perhaps a bright future! Dean feels good during the race in Reutlingen where he qualifies thirteenth for the races on Sunday afternoon. Dean starts the first moto outside the top ten, but he quickly works his way into the top ten. The Alpinestars-clad rider has been in ninth place for the entire race and this position is never in danger. The start of the second heat is much better and the rider from Geldrop starts seventh. In the first lap he is able to take over sixth place and Dean does not relinquish this position anymore! In short, a good weekend for the 8-year-old rider who can look back on a strong EMX race in which he scored the same number of points as the rider in fifth place.
50cc:
Elvis Totney came into action at the Halle circuit during a competition of the KNMV Open Dutch Championship 50cc. The Briton is slightly slower than Torre van Mechgelen during time training, but the first round is won by the Youth Pro MX rider. Behind Van Mechgelen, Elvis comes out of the first lap, but in the third laps he takes over the lead and never relinquishes it. In the second moto Elvis starts third, but he then manages to work his way up to the lead! However, things went wrong in the second laps and Elvis crashed, dropping back to fourth place. In his drive, Elvis falls again and that means that another place is lost. Fortunately, this mistake was corrected in the final phase and Elvis crossed the finish line in fourth place, placing him second in the daily rankings.
In Wanssum, Jur van Tuil is in action during the ProX MON Dutch Championship 50cc and the KTM rider scores well there. With a third and fourth place, Jur finished third in the daily rankings.
Next game:
The KNMV ONK will continue next Saturday at the Den Dungen circuit.
