Cas Valk in the lead after victory!
Cas Valk won the third race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross on a sunny 'Circuit Kwintelooyen'. The rider from Nijverdal managed to win both heats! In addition to the day's victory, Valk also takes the lead in the standings! The difference with Karlis Alberts Reisulis (3-2) has increased to seven points. The podium at MACRO Rhenen is completed by Grizzly Racing driver Sacha Coenen (2-3).
Bradley Mesters and Yoran Moens dive into the first corner shoulder to shoulder. The Belgian, who is coached by Kevin Wouts, wins the HGS Holeshot Award, but Valk takes the lead in the first round. In the first round Sacha Coenen manages to take second place and this duo then takes distance. Valk and Coenen make it their own match, but Valk's lead is never in danger. Reisulis did not have the best start and started the race over 20 minutes and one lap in around tenth place. He moves fairly quickly towards the top five, but then has to fight to get into the top three. The leader in the standings succeeds, but with a third place he has to give up points to winner Valk. Lucas Coenen crosses the finish line in fourth place ahead of fellow countryman Moens.
Valk manages to get off to a reasonable start in the second round and the Jimmy Joe rider comes out of the first round as leader. Sacha Coenen comes second from the first round and he can hold this position for a long time. Later there is Reisulis who crossed the first 'jump' outside the top five, but he comes back and comes second. Sacha Coenen now crosses the finish line in third place ahead of his twin brother Lucas Coenen and with Bapite Beernaert three Belgians finish in the top five!
The final of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross will be held during the Zwarte Cross in Lichtenvoorde. The 85cc riders will be in action on Friday, July 19!
