Second MCLB-BK test stock to Wacko Bracko's hand!
The second round of the MCLB Belgian championship for 'Inters' was held this weekend in Aalter, East Flanders. The first race was won by Ken De Dycker, so he was also the leader in the championship and was now at the start again.
However, the championship leader had no luck. In the first heat he had a poor start and managed to move to the front, but unfortunately he disappeared from the race after nine laps. He did not start again in the second heat. This suddenly opened up a boulevard with possibilities. Who could benefit from 'Keeno' bad luck?!
In the first heat this was already Jeffrey Dewulf. The Grand Prix pilot kept Wietse Brackman behind him for the entire race and finished with a wide lead ahead of Wietse Brackman and David Segers who finished third. The youngsters Mattis Meersschout and Jorne Tytgat completed the top five!
In the second heat Wietse Brackman took the holeshot. He was soon joined by Jeffrey Dewulf who would also pass him. However, this Jeffrey Dewulf did not remain flawless. After his first mistake he saw his competitor on the Leon Sagaert by Xavier Beel pass Husqvarna and David Segers. With Wietse Brackman driving extremely well on the track, the first position was already flying for Jeffrey Dewulf. The West Flemish now had to concentrate on the duel for second place, a duel that he initially seemed to be taking over. He made a mistake again and second place went to David Segers riding the Standing Construct Geeco KTM! Jeffrey Dewulf eventually finished third ahead of Mattis Meersschout and Robin Bakens, who did not finish in the first series. The man from Waasland and newcomer to the MCLB has been riding strongly for several weeks, but has so far not managed to achieve two strong results in one weekend.
In addition to the “main force” that we dare to call the Inters500 class, the Inters250 also rode their race in the race. The victory went to Bart Klijn, he managed to finish third in the MX2 class in the first heat and he took victory in the second heat! Good for 45 points! Jurgen Wybo scored the same number of points with a victory in the first heat and a third place in the second heat. Good for second place in the daily rankings. Gian Scheele scored 44 points for the final podium spot in the overall rankings. In the Inters B the overall victory went to Greg Vullers.
