Disappointment for Durow and the GPR MX Team
After their podium finish during the KNMV ONK in Mill, the GPR MX Team traveled to Valkenswaard with confidence. The first race of the European 125cc Championship was held at the Eurocircuit with Cameron Durow and Rob van de Veerdonk on the list of participants. No fewer than 100 drivers registered for qualifying and the best 40 competed twice for points. The weekend did not go well for Rob and he did not pass qualifying. Carmeron succeeded, but in the first moto the South African crashed and broke his upper arm!
Matches:
While Cameron managed to qualify for the competitions without many problems, Rob remained outside the top twenty. The Brabander therefore had to watch how the other riders dive into the first corner with 40 people at the same time. In that first corner, teammate Cameron crashed hard! The 16-year-old cross rider from Pietermaritzburg breaks his upper arm in this crash. After being examined at the circuit, Cameron travels to Antwerp to be operated on by Doctor Peesman. The upper arm is broken just below the socket and it is decided to insert a pin. The operation was performed on Sunday morning after which Cameron traveled to Valkenswaard with the doctor to watch the matches.
Next game:
Both the 125cc and 250cc European Championships will continue next weekend. The points are then distributed on the beautiful circuit of Arco di Trento. A week later the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross starts in Oss.
