Micha-Boy de Waal lets Arco shoot
In the second round of the Dutch GP, Micha Boy De Waal (Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing) hurt his leg. In order to return as fit as possible, Micha has decided to miss the fourth GP of the year this weekend.
It is difficult for die-hard De Waal to say no, but in consultation with the team, a conscious decision is made to perform in the best possible circumstances. “In MXGP you have to be 110% and I want to have a year to remember, in a good way that is! Those behind me understand that choice. To participate 75% in MXGP is something we don't want. I want to perform, I know where I belong in the competitions and that is not where we are now," said 'MBDW' on Facebook.
The Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing rider had a difficult winter due to a long rehabilitation after a knee injury. As a result, Micha started the season with few engine hours, but anyone who knows him a little knows that he will do everything he can to return strong! The fifth round of the MXGP World Championship will take place on May 12 in Mantova.
