Henry Jacobi takes the redplate in Oss!
The day did not go smoothly during the first race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross. The organization had to deal with some problems, but the points could still be distributed. In the 250cc class, Henry Jacobi won both heats! It is the first time that a German took a day's victory in the DMofMX 250cc (formerly ONK) and he does so immediately with a double. In the daily rankings, Jago Geerts (4-2) comes second ahead of Adam Sterry (5-6), who ensures that F&H Racing Team is on the podium with two drivers in Brabant!
Because the starting gate does not move the first time, a restart follows. Jacobi takes the lead and will not relinquish it. Reigning champion Geerts tries to connect with the German, but the Yamaha rider crashes and has to give chase. In the early stages of the race, Tom Vialle is in second place, but later has to make way for Watson. The Briton comes second behind Jacobi, who was firmly in control this round. Vialle finishes third ahead of Geerts, who despite a second slide still crosses the finish line in fourth. Adam Sterry completes the top five.
Roan van de Moosdijk gets the best start in the second round. The Eindhoven resident had not finished the first heat, so he wanted to take revenge! Jacobi takes the lead early in the race and he also wins the second moto. Van de Moosdijk has been in second place for a long time, but in the final phase Geerts manages to snatch this position. The Belgian comes second among the F&H Racing drivers. Kevin Horgmo did not finish the first heat, but the Norwegian finished fourth in this race. Jed Beaton, who made his European debut here in Oss two years ago, crosses the finish line fifth.
The championship will continue in three weeks, when the points will be distributed in Axel, Zeeland. This competition is a one-day event and will be held on May 5.
