Glenn Coldenhoff about Dutch Masters in Oss
The Oss circuit was harder than normal and the dry weather conditions made it treacherously slippery in places. Glenn started the day positively by setting the fourth fastest time in the timed training. It was all close because Glenn was only 0,7 seconds behind the fastest man.
Things went wrong at the start of the first heat because the starting gate did not fall, so a different starting procedure was chosen. The organization opted for a diagonal starting position without a starting gate and this worked out well for Glenn. He entered the first corner in third place and was able to start the race in the leading group.
“The riding wasn't smooth in the first moto. I finished the entire race like this, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the riding. In the final phase Anstie was still coming, but I managed to keep him behind me, so I crossed the finish line in third place." says Glenn.
In the second heat they started behind a starting gate, but this time Glenn did not get away as well. He started the race around seventh place but quickly managed to work his way up to fourth place. In the very last lap he gave everything to pass Max Anstie, but unfortunately this did not work. Coldenhoff crossed the finish line in fourth place, just missing the podium.
“The riding went a lot better in the second moto and it went smoothly. Too bad I wasn't allowed to take a seat on the podium. It was a positive day and a step in the direction we are looking for."
Glenn's next competition for the Dutch Masters of Motocross is scheduled for Sunday, May 5, in Axel.
