Double hit Ken De Dycker MCLB Galmaarden!
Lots of enthusiasm in Oostrozebeke for the second round of the MCLB championship. The competitions on the hilly circuit on the Langestraat also provided a spectacle. Ken 'keeno' De Dycker took the double, although that certainly did not happen automatically!
There is no shortage of young(er) challengers, but it was the experienced men who were in charge today on a beautifully prepared circuit. David Segers took the holeshot but in the second corner the Standing Construct-Geecobikes KTM rider went too wide so Wietse Brackman came over. After one lap, De Dycker took control. The former MX of Nations winner was only in his second race and had to play his part with a strong Segers behind him! De Dycker ultimately won with a bonus of just 2,7 seconds over 'Mad Dave'. Brackman beat Torpjurn Van Hoe in the battle for third place.
The veterans also spoke loudly in the second race! This time Keeno won with a 4 second lead over Segers, while an excellent Van Hoe now won the prestige duel with Brackman. Mattis Meersschout completed the top 5. A man in his thirties also dominated in the 250, a 36-year-old even. Jurgen Wybo (1-1) achieved an impressive sixth place overall after finishing ninth in the first series. Tim Vandriessche finished second to Henson Lievens in the 250. Greg Demeulemeester takes home the flowers as the best Inter B.
