Austin Forkner throws in the towel
Austin Forkner made a splash on the East Coast during the first games of the season, but now sees an almost certain title pass him by. Despite an attempt to start last weekend in East Rutherford, Forkner still had to leave the game early and will also have to miss the race for Las Vegas. A torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus therefore throw a spanner in the works for this young American, who will now have to wait at least until 2020 to win his first major title. Forkner provided an update on his situation via his Instagram page.
