Five minutes with Cyril Genot
After his knee injury, Cyril Genot completed five months of intensive rehabilitation. In the meantime, the private KTM rider has been back on the bike for a while! Although he was really looking forward to his first match in a long time, Genot will still have to be patient. After all, the ONK opener in Emmen was cancelled.
Unfortunately no competition this weekend. I fear that more cancellations will follow in this weather. What do I expect from my first race when I'm finally back behind the fence? Honestly, I have no idea. I'm going to let it happen and try to enjoy it to the fullest.
Spain, you were the best!
Our trip to Spain was a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun. I was able to ride a lot and train hard physically. Although we had a great time, I have to admit that being away from home for so long started to weigh on me a bit after a while. I'm not used to this at all. After about a month I thought it was time to return home.
One Team Academy
Once back in Belgium, I was able to pick up my routine again. So I went for a check-up in Antwerp and was able to start training again with one of my best friends and trainer, Kenny Vandueren. For me he is a great help and support, both mentally and physically. I learn a lot from him. I go there on average twice a week. We train very hard physically, but I enjoy the suffering.
Time for photos
These are one of the moments that I really look forward to and enjoy. It's always fun to take scary photos and share them with you. My regular photographer is none other than Danny Relouw. We have known each other since I was still riding 125cc. We have been dating each other for quite some time now. Friends for life, that's for sure! My setup this year looks like this. I'm definitely a fan of it!
