Two podium finishes for F&H Racing during British GP!
With two podium finishes, the F&H Racing Team returns satisfied from the English Grand Prix. Henry Jacobi finished second on the Matterley Basin circuit. The German finished second and third during the heats, putting him second in the overall standings! Adam Sterry was thwarted by the bad luck devil while there were many fans present for him. The 22-year-old rider was not satisfied with an eleventh and fifteenth place, but the speed of the friendly Brit bodes well for the other races. The first race of the European 250cc Championship also gave Roan van de Moosdijk a podium place. The Eindhoven resident finished third in the daily rankings near the beautiful Winchester.
1st Round
When the starting gate drops, Henry gets off to a reasonably good start and immediately joins the leading group. A tough duel follows with Walsh for fourth place and the German manages to take over. Then Vialle, who is in second place, is the prey and the Frenchman is passed after more than ten minutes of racing. Leader Kjer Olsen has built up a nice lead, but the Leatt-clad rider is the fastest man on the circuit and he is chipping away at his deficit little by little. In the final phase, Henry manages to connect and that brings the audience to their seats. The 22-year-old rider tries to take the lead and the Dane looks around nervously. At the very top of the hill, Henry chooses a different line to launch the attack, but a mistake causes him to become unbalanced and almost leaves the circuit. Declarer has consequences and wins the match for Henry. Adam was keen on success in front of his own audience, but he did not get off to a good start. He starts the race over 30 minutes and two laps narrowly in the top twenty. The Briton managed to fight back to eleventh place and he is not completely satisfied with that.
2st Round
Adam's start did not go as planned. Henry started the match better, but in the initial phase he is looking for the right pace. After passing fast starter Walsh, things improve with the 22-year-old German who increases the pace and can therefore push for Vialle in the final phase! The Frenchman loses third place to Henry after thirty minutes of the race. The cheerful Henry will no longer relinquish this place and he can therefore climb onto the podium second during the ceremony. Adam would have loved to have been there, but after the start he drove a great catch-up race. With the support of many fans, Adam crosses the finish line in fifteenth place and thus scores six more points for the world championship. In that championship, Henry now occupies second place, 16 points behind the leader. Adam is in eleventh place with seventeen matches left!
EMX250:
Roan managed to set the best time in qualifying, but that immediately gave him some extra tension for the first heat. The Brabander does not get off to a good start, but quickly manages to join the leading group. The first lap ends in seventh place, after which he works his way up to fifth place. Halfway through the race, the Kawasaki rider makes a small mistake, allowing Rubini to take over fifth place. Roan's sixth place is no longer in danger and he crosses the finish line in this position.
Roan also starts the race well in the second heat by turning into the first corner very short. In the initial phase he has to deal with the Italian Tropepe and then join Goupillon. This works and the Frenchman is passed halfway through the race. Without many problems, the 18-year-old rider breaks free and manages to secure third place. Roan finished third in the daily rankings and with that he looks back on the first race of the season with satisfaction!
Next game:
The FIM world championship comes directly to the Netherlands, on March 30-31 the points will be distributed at the Valkenswaard circuit. The EMX250 will continue in two weeks in Arco di Trento, Italy.
