MXGP China moved to September
Youthstream announced today that the fifth round of the Motocross World Championship, the MXGP of China in Shanghai, has been moved to September 15. This new date comes in response to the continuous heavy rains that have ravaged the Shanghai region over the past 4 months.
The date change follows official requests from the CAMF, the Chinese National Federation and the local organizer to FIM and Youthstream. The MXGP of China in Shanghai promises to be a very important event locally. To this day, site preparation and circuit construction were held up by incessant rain. A similar forecast for the coming weeks therefore resulted in an increased risk of cancellation.
A positive thing for teams and media is that the GP in Shanghai on September 14 and 15 and Hong Kong one week later will now form a diptych.
