Jed Beaton is back in Matterley
During the preparatory match in Lacapelle-Marival, Jed Beaton suffered a back injury. Fortunately, the recovery of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider went well. So much so that the former Australian MX2 champion will be back in Matterley Basin this weekend.
“I have completed two days of motorcycle training, but the recovery period of three weeks is quite short. To be honest, I don't have any expectations, and neither does my team," Jed told our colleagues at Mootoonline. “My goal is simply to gain competitive rhythm, drive as well as I can and gain some points and then improve race after race.
In 2018, Beaton suffered a terrible crash in Winchester. He broke both legs there. This weekend the 'Tasmanian devil' is one of three Australians in the British GP, where Dean Ferris (MXGP) and Mitch Evans will also be at the start.
