Beringen opens e-mountain bike calendar!
The calendar of E-MTB competitions continues to expand with the addition of a competition on April 14 in the be-MINE Mountain Bike Park in Beringen. As a result, the calendar of demo races for e-mountain bikes now consists of 4 events.
Of these 4 competitions, 2 are organized by associations from the cycling sector (14/4 Beringen and 24/8 Kluisbergen) and 2 by BMB clubs (9/6 Mettet and 19/10 Ostend).
To showcase all the possibilities of the E-MTB, 14 rounds will be organized in Beringen on April 2. Round 1 is ridden on a varied circuit of +/- 4 Km over 4 laps. The course contains obstacles that can only be overcome with an E-bike. The difficult passages can always be avoided, not only downhill but also by providing a 'Chicken Way' in the difficult uphill passages. Each rider's time is recorded.
Heat 2 consists of several stages against time that test the rider's skills. The participants start according to the ENDURO-MTB principle. The total time of the two heats determines the final ranking! All information and registrations available www.e-mountainbiken.be.
Each competition will have its own formula. In Mettet the race circuit and the slopes are used, in Kluisbergen the former Hotond MX circuit is used and in Ostend the beach and dunes are used (2 laps of 12 km). The aim is to convince participants and visitors that E-MTB Big Fun and also spectacular to look at.
