Forty riders per class will have the opportunity to start in the 2019 in October blue cRU FIM Europe Cup Superfinal that takes place in the supporting program of the MX of Nations in Assen! The top three per class of that final, supplemented with two more wildcard riders, will then be invited to the bLU cRU Masterclass, which will be organized at the end of next year.
After the Masterclass, the best 125cc rider will receive a contract from Yamaha to ride in the EMX125 championship for a team supported by Yamaha Europe. The best 65cc and 85cc riders will also receive support for the 2020 season. For more information or to register click here.
What is the YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup?
In 2015, Yamaha Motor Europe introduced the YZ125 bLU cRU Cup to give young motocross riders the best opportunities on their way to a professional career. Following the immediate success and as a result of the positive feedback and enthusiasm surrounding the brand new YZ65 and updated YZ85, Yamaha felt it was time to expand the program with the same opportunities for young riders riding YZ65 or YZ85s in their national championships . The philosophy for all three YZ Cup categories, YZ125, YZ85 and YZ65, is consistent with that of the FIM Europe 'MXGP academy' programme, which focuses on rider development and sportsmanship. Therefore, an alliance was formed with FIM Europe and from 2019 the name of the YZ bLU cRU Cup has been changed to YZ bLU cRU FIM Europe Cup.
