Jeffrey Herlings: MXGP over AMA!
SEver since Jeffrey Herlings broke his right foot during training in Spain, rumors have been buzzing. Because when and where will 'the Bullet' make its comeback?
In any case, the reigning MXGP world champion will have to miss the opening match of the World Championship in Argentina on March 3. However, it is also a matter of guesswork for him when he will be ready to compete again. This Friday he has to go to the hospital in Herentals for a check-up again. Then Jeffrey and his entourage will get an idea of how his recovery is going.
About a possible American outdoor campaign, if he were to miss too many GPs, the rider from Oploo stated the following to the Eindhovens Dagblad: “I thought: I'll stoke the fire. I already read on various forums that I would not make it to the GPs and that I would ride in America. I hadn't said anything about it myself, I hadn't even talked to KTM about it.” Read here the full article by Marcel Luykx.
KTM's motocross manager Joël Smets had also previously commented on the possible American track. It balloon that Herlings himself on social media was also a surprise for KTM. Read here Smets' response.
