Febvre and Watson win in Lacapelle Marival!
Today was the last dress rehearsal before the World Cup starts next week in Argentina. In Lacapelle Marival, France there were series for MX1, MX2 and 125cc pilots.
In the 125cc class there was no match for the Dutchman Kay de Wolf. He finished first twice ahead of Liam Everts and Xavier Cazal. In the MX2 class, Ben Watson was very strong with wins in both series. Thomas Kjer Olsen finished second twice ahead of Australian Mitch Evans. KTM rider Tom Vialle finished third and our compatriot Jago Geerts finished fifth, each time scoring a fifth place in the series.
In the heaviest bikes in the MX1, the win went to Romain Febvre. He won thanks to a win in the second series because Gautier Paulin previously won the first series and therefore scored the same number of points. Jeremy Seewer finished third ahead of Clement Desalle. His teammate Julien Lieber finished ninth in the final standings. Then there was also the super final with the pilots from MX1 and MX2 combined. That also went to Febvre for Max Anstie and Gautier Paulin.
