Sunderland wins and Brabec regains the lead
After just one day, Pablo Quintanilla has already lost the lead in the Dakar Rally! The Chilean drops back to fifth place, ten minutes behind the new leader; Ricky Brabec. The American had to leave the day's victory to Sam Sunderland, but that should not spoil the fun. Behind the Chilean Jose Cornejo Florimo, Brabec finished third, followed by Adrien Vanbeveren (photo). The Frenchman is doing well and occupies second place in the rankings behind Brabec. Paul Spierings was the best Dutchman today, in the rankings that remains Mark Tielemans.
