Price the new leader after Brabec's failure!
The eighth stage of the Dakar Rally has turned the rankings upside down! At the start of the day the Austrian brands had to chase. Ricky Brabec (Honda) was in the lead ahead of Adrien Vanbeveren (Yamaha) with third man Toby Price following at a distance. However, the roles are now completely different, Price is the new classification leader! Brabec had to leave the rally with a broken engine block and Vanbeveren lost no less than eleven minutes today. Matthias Walkner won the stage ahead of Pablo Quintanilla and Price. The Australian is now in the lead with just over a minute ahead of Husqvarna rider Quintanilla. At the time of writing, the Dutch are still on their way.
