News from the 2019 BEX championship
The Belgian Endurance-cross (BEX) championship experienced significant growth last season with a fully booked final race in Vitrival. Striking detail: La Chinelle will no longer be part of the championship.
In 2019, the Belgian-Endurance-cross championship will consist of 6 races, of which 4 in Belgium (Hautrage on 14/4, Mons (Bergen) on 1/5, Warnant on 27-28/07 and Vitrival on 3/11) and 2 in Northern France (19/5 Avesnes-sur-Helpe and 13/10 Etroeungt).
The competitions and the championship are open to all BMB permit holders for motocross, enduro, supermoto and BEX and are contested by teams of 2 riders, each of whom can participate with their own motorcycle.
The most important changes for the 2019 season are:
Sports regulations:
- Engine capacities as in the enduro: BEX1: from 100cc to 125cc 2-stroke, from 175cc to 250 4-stroke, and EPV engines (electric engines); BEX2: from 126cc to 500cc 2 stroke and from 251cc to 650cc 4 stroke
- The DUO formula has priority (team composed of 2 riders)
- Belgian Championship: addition of a third title awarded to the team, composed during each competition from the same 2 license holders, that has achieved the most points in the DUO scratch classification. An INTERCLUB title is also officially introduced.
Technical regulations:
- Mandatory back protection, noise level 114 Db/A max including tolerance
