Metge surprises with day victory, Price remains the leader
Michael Metge took the day's victory during the ninth stage of the Dakar Rally in Peru. The Sherco rider managed to triumph with a two-minute lead over Daniel Nosiglia-Jager. Third place went to Pablo Quintanilla, just a second behind Matthias Walkner and Toby Price. So little changes in the rankings, Quintanilla is 62 seconds behind the Australian with one stage to go. Paul Spierings had a very strong performance with a 22nd place. The Brabander is also the best Dutchman in the rankings with 29th place.
