Herlings breaks foot during training in Spain!
Bad news from the KTM camp. Jeffrey Herlings broke his foot during a training in Spain. That is very bad news because the first GP is already on March 2. Will The Bullet make the start in Argentina or will he have to be sidelined longer to allow the injury to heal?
At the time of going to press it was not yet clear whether one or more fractures had been identified. If that were the case, it doesn't look good for the reigning world champion. A recovery would then be expressed in a few months. Herlings underwent successful foot surgery last night and will then be transferred back to the Netherlands to recover. He has five weeks until the first GP, but the spring competitions in Italy, France and Great Britain will inevitably be canceled.
Updates on the severity of Herling's injury will follow later.
