BMB: class division established for JMS/VLM collaboration
The BMB motocross working group met last week to make the final preparations for the 2019 motocross season that starts on February 23 and 24 in Lommel in collaboration with JMS/VLM. A few more changes were made to the 2019 sports regulations and the class division for the competitions was also determined in collaboration with JMS/VLM.
The 2 most important changes to the 2019 sports regulations are the adjustment of the minimum age for the U125 13cc class, which from this season will be accessible to riders from 14 years old (instead of 125 years old) by analogy with the minimum age of the European EMX 17cc Championship. The maximum age remains at XNUMX years. On the other hand, the working group decided to no longer provide mandatory promotions for the senior class.
In consultation with the JMS/VLM federation, the following class division will apply to the 8 JMS/VLM competitions registered on the BMB calendar:

65 tsp | New 65cc | Saturday | — |

Interest 500 | Interest 500 | Sunday | Interest 500 |
Sidecars | Sidecars | Sunday | Sidecars |

* the BMB Seniors Open class has been added by VLM to their timetable, but is not a VLM class.
** Quads: This class is only guaranteed if at least 15 pilots have obtained a license from the VLM.
A new consultation must be arranged with VJMO/MCLB to determine the class division during the 3 VJMO/MCLB competitions registered on the BMB calendar.
The course management during these competitions is in the hands of JMS/VLM and VJMO/MCLB respectively. A BMB sports representative will be present at every match.
