Adam Cianciarulo is now the winner
Last week in Anaheim, Adam Cianciarulo was fast, but crashes threw a spanner in the works. Now the Kawasaki rider was the best and he wins in Glendale! Colt Nichols crosses the finish line second ahead of Shane Mcelrath. In the title battle, Cianciarulo now climbs to second place, five points behind leader Nichols.
In the final, Cianciarulo (photo) immediately takes the lead ahead of James Decotis and Mcelrath. The KTM rider was able to quickly take over second place, after which Nichols and Dylan Ferrandis increased the pressure on the Suzuki rider. With success because the Star Racing duo manages to pass the fast starter. The Frenchman manages to work his way up to third place, but then he makes a mistake and falls in front of the mechanics. While the leader distances himself, Mcelrath seems to be breaking away from pursuer Nichols. However, halfway through the race over 15 minutes and a lap, the 24-year-old Nichols is able to connect. The first attack is a direct hit and the 'redplate' holder takes over second place. Mcelrath is a distant third ahead of RJ Hampshire and Decotis. Ferrandis is driving a great catch-up race, he comes back strongly from 16th place to sixth place!
