Nathan Watson third different winner in as many Course Sur Sable competitions!
Nathan Watson won the third round of the “Championnat de france de course sur sable” 2018-2019 championship in Saint Leger de Balson this Sunday afternoon. This made the Briton the third winner in as many competitions. The first two victories in Beach Cross Merck and Loon Plage went to Yentel Martens and Milko Potisek.
With the taste of victory in the Red Bull Knock Out, the beach cross in Scheveningen for the WESS championship, still in his mouth, Nathan Watson started with a lot of confidence in the labyrinth of Saint Leger de Balson. The official KTM pilot dominated the race held in harsh conditions and put everyone up to and including number four on one lap! Only the gentlemen who were allowed on the podium with Nathan Watson, Milko Potisek in second and Jeffrey Dewulf in third, remained in the same round.
In addition to Jeffrey Dewulf, who crossed the finish line in third place, we saw Axel van de Sande finish sixth. VLM Inter Raf Belmans finished thirty-six, but for the other Belgians it was an off-day as Daymond Martens was classified as 247th and Yentel Martens as 254th. A disappointing result for both.
As a wild card we also saw Nathan Watson's brothers, Ben, at the start. The KEMEA Yamaha pilot finished twenty-fifth, but was subsequently disqualified because he had refueled on the course and not in the designated pit lane.
