World Championship Sidecar Cross calendar 2019!
The calendar for the 2019 Sidecar Cross World Championships has now been finalized. Below you will find the dates of all Grand Prix in which the best sidecar teams on this earth will compete for the World Title.
The biggest change compared to the previously published provisional calendar is the fact that the Belgian Grand Prix in Gooik will take place two weeks later, on September 1.
Gooik will be the second Belgian Grand Prix in 2019 because the MC Maasland has the honor of kicking off the World Cup sidecar cross season in Lommel on April 7.
The teams will then have to move to Talavera, Spain, and a week later the Dutch Grand Prix will take place in Oldebroek during the Easter weekend on Monday, where the top teams will again get enough 'airtime' on the famous table mountain. (see header photo)
The Netherlands is also on the calendar twice this season and the second Dutch GP will be held on one of the oldest existing cross circuits in the world when the World Cup Sidecar Cross takes place in Markelo on July 7.
For sidecar cross fans in the Benelux it is already very nice to mention that 4 Grand Prix in a Dutch-speaking area, but also the Grand Prix of France in Plomion in Northern France on June 2 is relatively close within 60 kilometers of the Belgian border and an excellent opportunity to admire the cracks of the sidecars.
