Souby & Aranda divide loot in SX Lyon!
During the supercross competition in Lyon, competitions for the French Supercross championship, also known as the SX Tour, were contested on Friday and Saturday. All strong and well-known French names were at the start.
In the heaviest class, the SX Open class Cedric Soubeyras and Greg Aranda divided the loot. On Friday, Cedric Soubeyras was the strongest in the final, ahead of Greg Aranda and Fabien Izoird. Then in the final on Saturday evening the roles were reversed. Greg Aranda managed to stay ahead of Cedric Soubeyras, in this final it was the other Honda pilot Xavier Boog who secured third place.
With the 250cc machines, or the SX2 class Adrien Escoffier and Thomas Do divided the victories among themselves. Both fighters, who are involved in an extremely interesting duel for the title, copied each other's results. In the final won by Adrien Escoffier on Friday, Thomas Do finished in fourth place. A day later, Thomas Do won the final again and we saw Adrien Escoffier fall just off the podium in fourth place. This gave Julien Roussaly the title of Prince of Lyon. If it already exists. In the championship, the difference between the two rivals Do and Escoffier remains only ten points, with the two races in Geneva and Amnéville still to go.
