Factory Husqvarna MXGP team chooses Dunlop
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory MXGP will partner with Dunlop for the next three years. Until the end of 2021, the team will compete on rubber from the brand with the yellow “D”. Until this season the factory Husqvarna MXGP team used Pirelli.
Since the brand's founding more than a century ago, Dunlop has been associated with groundbreaking technology in motorcycle tires. With engineers and designers in Europe, Japan and North America, Dunlop can respond quickly in terms of R&D and support in competition.
Thanks to their passion for performance, Dunlop has built a reputation as a winning brand. For example, Dunlop has been the dominant tire supplier in AMA Supercross and Motocross for many years now. Thanks to this new agreement, Pauls jonass en Armin Jasikonis can use the wide range of Dunlop Geomax tires for all their training and competitions.
Wim Van Achter – Dunlop Motorsport manager: “Everyone at Dunlop is pleased with this new partnership with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing MXGP team. It is an honor that such a professional team chooses our Geomax tires to achieve their ambitious goals. We will always be on site to provide complete technical support and help the riders with their tire choice for each moto. From the new, versatile Geomax MX33 to the rest of our groundbreaking range, we are confident we can always offer the right tire for every type of terrain.”
Antti Pyrhönen – Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory MXGP Racing Team Manager: “We are very satisfied with this collaboration with Dunlop Tires. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our previous tire supplier for their great support, but now we are starting an exciting new chapter! As a team we are always looking for the best materials and products for our riders. I am sure Dunlop can help us perform better.”
Diego Clement – Motorsport Manager Husqvarna Motorcycles: “We are proud that Dunlop will become our official tire supplier to the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing MXGP team for the next three years. Dunlop is not only a globally renowned brand but has an incredibly successful history of product innovation and sporting results. We are therefore completely on the same page about growing together. I am convinced that Dunlop will be an additional asset for the coming seasons.”
