WESS: Elowson surprises in Gotland mud party!
The seventh round of the World Enduro Super Series took place today on the Swedish island of Gotland. In super tough cold and muddy conditions local hero became Albin Elowson the surprising winner. The Husqvarna rider made it ahead of two compatriots, Robert Kvarnstrom and MXGP rider Ken Bengtson.
Red Bull-KTM's Taddy Blazusiak finished fourth as the best-placed WESS rider. Billy Bolt, the leader in the standings, finished 13de, just after Josep Garcia. Private driver Paul Bolton turned 14of ex MXGP rider Nathan Watson was 15of veteran Graham Jarvis finished 27th.
The race over more than 117 kilometers was extremely difficult this year due to the cold and rain. EMX250 rider Kevin Horgmo (Creymert Racing) took the holeshot but had to abandon the race after five complete laps.
