Shot Race Gear presents 2019 collection
We know it's not fair, but we forgot to tell you. Sorry. There's no easy way to say it because we were too busy driving ourselves. We were on the bike as often as we could to really squeeze the most out of the summer. Because as soon as the super comfortable, super light 2019 Shot Race Gear collection became available, it became impossible to resist! But we don't want to be selfish, here's everything you need to know about Shot's sleek 2019 stuff
Aerolite Delta: Never Back Down
Thanks to the input of Shot riders Graham Jarvis, Thomas Covington and Thomas “TKO” Olsen, we have pushed the boundaries of the premium Aerolite line even further. The 2019 Aerolite Delta equipment unites comfort, low weight and durability like never before. A completely new chassis - made of dobby and durable stretch material - of the Aerolite Delta pants ensures a weight saving of no less than 19% compared to the previous model. And super comfortable is putting it mildly.
The contoured fit and exceptional freedom of movement allow you to get the most out of your riding. Although the Aerolite has all the features you would expect from a top equipment - from anti-mud zipper to the ventilated shin section over the flexible panel at the back - this is not what makes these trousers unique. After all, sustainable performance makes it completely different from the rest. Because Shot designed the Aerolite Delta to last a long time and to set a new benchmark in terms of wear resistance. The reinforced saddle panel, the heat- and abrasion-resistant leather protection at the knees and the never-fading color sublimation have been tested in the toughest conditions to offer you long and worry-free use.
For 2019, the lightweight Shot Aerolite Delta shirt gets a more athletic fit and strategically placed, ventilated inserts. The comfortable design is designed to perform and feels like a second skin. And because it's all about the details, we also tackled the construction itself. For example, we have omitted the stitching on the collar. The result is a jersey that feels as fresh and nice as if it were your favorite cotton T-shirt.
Do you want more of those I-feel-good-on-the-motorcycle days? We heard you! The anatomical, lightweight Aerolite gloves are the cream of the crop in terms of grip, control and comfort.
Contact Score: the top in the middle class
For 2018, Shot launched the Contact range, one of the best performing equipment in its category. On top of the rave reviews from competition, hobby riders and media and Luke Renzland's AMA 250SX shootout podium, Shot scored a coveted LIT Kit award in the US as gear combo of the weekend. Not bad at all, so we could have a beer, sit back and relax… Or we could try to do even better for 2019! Because we are now gear set geeks and material nerds, we opted for the latter.
The 2019 Shot Contact shirt fits more closely than the 2018 model. The anatomical fit guarantees unhindered movement, and this jersey is also spacious enough to wear protection underneath. For even more wearing comfort, we have used Lycra for the shoulders. The special colors that never fade sublimation process keeps your favorite colors in top condition.
Shot has managed to reduce the weight of the already light Contact Score trousers by another 4%. Yet it is not the featherweight materials that demand the most attention. The super sturdy dobby construction was brought together with spandex so that you can count on protection, durability and freedom of movement. Four-way spandex for the knee, crotch and back give you the comfort of your favorite sweatpants.
The pre-formed fit and extensive stretch zone at the back allow you to ride exactly the way your style best suits you. Full attack like 'TKO' or fluid and controlled like Thomas Covington. Just like with the Aerolite pants, we continue to strengthen our Contact Score pants at the seat so that you can ride in the best possible conditions for as long as possible.
The Shot Race Gear Contact gloves with a short wrist offer protection and comfort where you need it, while going for pure and basic where possible. Ventilated mesh and silicone fingerprints keep your hands fresh and in control.
Devo Ultimate: as the name says
The Shot designers go to great lengths to come up with cool designs and great features. However, when it comes to the name of each line, they are just as obsessive. Each name must be exactly right. With the 2019 Devo, it is no coincidence that the entire Plaatje revolves around the ultimate ratio between price and quality. Hence Devo Ultimate.
We admit, it was quite a task to tackle the Devo pants for 2019. However, the goal was simple: to give you the most bang for your buck. In search of even more comfort, Shot came up with motocross pants with a 600 polyester chassis that weighs just 500 grams. Why exactly is it comfortable? Maybe it's the anatomical fit for a better position on the bike or the completely new spandex crotch. Maybe it's the obsessive attention to detail about where the different panels are paneled. Not that you would notice it on the bike, by the way, but that is exactly the intention!
Shot uses raglan sleeves for the 2019 Devo Ultmate shirt, which also ensures a more relaxed wearing comfort. Developed to be worn with protection under the jersey, the Devo Ultimate shirt is all about style and safety. The longer back ensures that your sweater stays neatly in your pants and thanks to the colorfast sublimination process, your gear always looks sleek.
Perfect balance isn't just fun. Yet it is exactly what Shot has achieved with the Devo Ultimate gloves. The large material on the palm is comfortable without compromising on feel. Neoprene on the wrist, 3D vented mesh, reinforced thumb, these gloves are ready for it and at the same time they also ensure that your hands can breathe when they are working hard for you.
