Jan van Hastenberg Senior died suddenly.
Today we received the news that... Jan van Hastenberg Senior died as a result of a cerebral infarction. Van Hastenberg Senior was on the circuit for years at his son's side Jan van Hastenberg Junior. The now 39-year-old rider from Zijtaart rode at the top of the sport for many years KNMV Open Dutch Championship with the engines prepared by his father. In 2004 and 2005, Van Hastenberg came third in the KNMV ONK 125cc with a Honda from the Negaan-JUMBO MX Team. In 2007, the Brabander finished tenth in the FIM MX3 World Championship.
