This weekend the final round of the Belgian championship in the MCLB federation was held on the beautiful circuit that Pamel offers our sport! In the Inters MX1 class it was nail-biting with Wietse Brackman in the lead position, but only six points ahead of Kevin Fors!
In the first heat, the large crowd that attended was given a duel to die for. Both fighters started at the front of the match and quickly found each other in places one and two in the match. Kevin Fors riding for Reytec on Husqvarna and Wietse Brackman on the Leon Sagaert Husqvarna played several leapfrogs, but it was Kevin Fors who came out on top in the race, with only 0.3 seconds ahead of his nearest opponent. Kevin Fors immediately came within three points in the title battle. Behind them, David Segers finished third.
In the second round, Wietse Brackman again came out on top with Kevin Fors in his wake, but after one full lap the Walloon Reytec pilot came through first and we only saw Wietse Brackman come through in fifth place. Panic among Wietse Brackman's fans because the young man still lost the Belgian title at this score. However, Wacko Bracko did not let it get that far, in no time he passed David Segers, Henson Lievens and Jorne Tytgat back to second place. To take over the lead shortly afterwards and defend it tooth and nail until the finish line, again with a minimal difference. This time it was 1.099 seconds that separated the two title pretenders. This immediately brought the curtain down on the extremely exciting final round of the MCLB Belgian Championship in the Inters MX1 class. Because with Kevin Fors scoring a win and a second place and Wietse Brackman scoring the same odds, only in reverse order, both men achieved the same points. As a result, Wietse Brackman wins the title with the same six point lead with which they started the extremely exciting final in Pamel.
MX2 Class is a prey for retiring Jurgen Wybo
In the MX2 class it was a little less exciting for the title. Jurgen Wybo had a lead of about 40 points. Theoretically the scenario was as follows; if his closest competitor were to finish both series as the first MX2 pilot and thus earn 50 points, “Woby” had to collect at least 10 points. But the man who has swam through so many motocross waters obviously did more. With a seventh and a fifth place he won 'his' MX2 category and thus crowned his title, and also his farewell. Because Jurgen himself is not getting any younger and he also has a successor ready in the form of the cute Lewis Wybo.
In Inters B category was Michiel Vercauteren has been assured of the title for a long time.
