Why don't we see Liam Everts in Coupe de l'Avenir?
When announcing all the national selections that the FMB-BMB will send this season, one major absentee stood out; Liam Everts. The 85cc pilot managed to get into the spotlight more than once in 2018. This with great results in the Dutch Masters of Motocross, ADAC Masters and also in the European Championship and the few competitions on Belgian soil!
Why won't we see Liam Everts in action in Baisieux? The Everts family explains itself further. “On September 22 and 23, Liam will compete in his last race in the ADAC MX Masters championship in Holzgerlingen and then the action will begin. While if we had opted to contest the Coupe de l'Avenir, the season would have been extended by another two weeks.” says father Stefan. “That doesn't seem like much, but the season has already been very long for Liam. It started for him at the end of September and beginning of October 2017 with the three-month New Zealand adventure with the Townley family. When he returned to Belgium, he had a very short break, hardly worthy of the name. To then start an interesting and wonderful season that has now brought us within one race of the end of Liam's 85cc career, and which has also brought us within one race of the end of the season.”
This immediately clears up the non-selection for Liam Everts for the Coupe de l'Avenir. We are already looking forward to what 2019 will bring on the 125cc machine for Liam Everts.
